Why? Because we don’t want the data. The data would make us feel bad, and the people profiting from the prisons don’t want us to feel bad about the prisons, and they are the ones who would collect and share the data.
Fire to the prisons. The way 'murcans go about their lives while 2 million of their people are caged makes me sick.
Obviously pregnant people’s healthcare while incarcerated should be of extreme concern, but the problem is incarcerating them to begin with.
I think generally the state avoids putting pregnant women in prison at all costs. If they can defer in any way they will, so unless were talking about a pregnant murderer or something they usually would not end up in prison and instead would be supervised or whatever.
One of the real issues is women who are imprisoned ending up pregnant because of prison guards, either bc of actual rape or because of quasi-consensual sex
