Phone is great! Have one and battery lasts for days with light usage and even when streaming it will last all day Love it more then and I phone 16 except for camera.
Seems like a solid phone for the price, shame about the battery life and only 3 years of security updates
Isn’t 5000mah like a lot? Especially since it has a weaker SoC. While I agree that 5 years of security updates should be the new minimum, 3 years is still decent & if you are into custom roms its lifespan extends dramatically.
5Ah is standard for a phone of that size, but GSMArena’s tests show it underperforms given the capacity. Hopefully Motorola can improve it with updates? And I’m not sure how good custom ROM support is on their phones, it’s definitely an option as you say but all phones should have at least 5 years of security patches imo.
Banking and other apps utilizing the new Play Integrity API will stop working if it won’t receive latest OS and security updates.
I’m still daily driving a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from 2018 right now and was thinking of replacing it with this. Hmm…
256GB and MicroSD card slot (usually its either 128GB with SD card slot, or higher storage, but without the card slot). This is best of both world. Basically the perfect phone unless you need flagship-level processing power or cameras.
