The common usage today was meant to discredit the Luddites as being against technological progress. I’ve been in tech most of my career, and I kind of want to take back the term.
Probably more jobs, and certainly less health compromising jobs, in solar and wind. I think Luddites would not support investing in coal, versus renewables.
Maybe “regressive” is a more fitting term for the MAGA death cult?
