Shit happens, and if you are riding anything with wheels, you should definitely be wearing a helmet. I wasn’t doing anything extreme when I crashed, the bike (an ENGWE EP2 Pro) failed at about 20mph, sending me over the handle bars and to the hospital. Not much I could’ve done about it, the fender was faulty and poorly designed but no recall was issued.
I personally just try to avoid activities that that would threaten my head to the point I need to wear a helmet…
