    A surprisingly large contingent seems to be okay with joining the EU. Although it is probably just a fad, the prerequisite is some kind of proportional election system, so that is something many of those people will be learning about. It’s a news nugget, so look for mentions in traditional media.

      I mean, in this trade war, the EU seems like the obvious choice to buddy up with. Similar values, culture, legal system… not trying to annex us.
