Përshëndetje! How come there used to be train connections for passengers in Albania, but all of that is gone nowadays? From what I’ve figured out trains are used only for freight transport. Was it because government didn’t care about supporting the development of railway?

Thanks! I’d love to visit Albania one day when the trains finally start running. The country definitely has good culture, people and nature. The only thing that seems to be lacking is proper government and organisation.

I also find that using rail transport is much more efficient and enjoyable when things work compared to other modes. Although, traveling throughout Albania nowadays is in a decent or at least modestly good spot due to high availability of buses and privately-owned intercity passenger vans. I agree government, organization is very deficient in quality even if it exists in some form but a cultural shift towards what is expected of institutions, governance, transparency from both the political class and people is needed.
