For me: the Out Run OST. Everyone listens to and praises Nintendo OSTs or Square Enix, but Out Run is something else. I have rarely listened to video game music that catchy.

Gran Turismo 2 OST: Cars - Fear Factory is a fave.
Hot Wheels Turbo Racing: Cheater Slick - Mark Pistel
Rage Racer OST: Lightning Luge, Silver Stream, and Volcano Vehicle being faves.
Enthusia Professional Racing OST: Grid (The OST has some funky jazzy beats)
Honourable mention: Ratchet & Clank 1 - Hoverboard Race (Rilgar)

Wholeheartedly agree. Carmageddon as a 2nd.
I want to check this one out. It is one of the few arcade racing games on GoG.

R4 is my pick I think, some of it is just so infinitely listenable vibing, like, I’ve booted the game just to leave the garage music looping for a while

Honestly Forza Horizon 1 and 2 both have fun little time capsule soundtracks.
