• By embracing Russia and castigating Ukraine, President Donald Trump has rattled U.S. allies around the world, causing them to question if Washington is still a trusted partner.

  • Governments in Europe and democracies around the world are treating Trump’s actions and statements not as provocative posturing, but as an earthquake.

  • With American reliability in doubt, some European nations and other countries may seek alternative partners and markets, possibly in China, Bindenagel said.

  • “Senior officials in Japan, Australia, Indonesia and Thailand have told me that China is swooping in, offering to replace the United States as the partner of choice,” Green said.

    Well, duh.

Trump has undermined the United State’s soft power to such an extent that it’s only my contempt of him that keeps me from thinking that it was deliberate. He’s burned decades of casting the US being the “Benevolent super power” so effectively that I don’t think we will recover in my lifetime.

Trump has handed the nations of the world to China on a… well silver and gold are kinda weak for what he’s done. I guess he’s handed China the world on a… Iridium plate?

Once the dollar is no longer the standard trade currency, the US will never, ever recover from that. It’s what put us in such a lofty position in the first place.

China is replacing oil and gas with renewables and batteries, and replace all cars with EV. That’s in south east Asia, Europe, Africa and south America. USA will be outdated with drill baby drill.
