    They always seem a bit last generation to me, especially if you compare it with the claude models. That being said, I hope they catch up and am going to use them for most of the basic stuff I do with AI.

    I hope Europe invest heavily into them to keep them competitive

    What’s also very nice for the developers among us: they also have “Codestral” which is an AI specifically for coding. You can generate an API key (not sure of it’s in the free tier) and integrate it in VS Code with the “continue” extension. Works surprisingly well!

      Thanks a tons for the information, I was not aware of this and used Le Chat few times for my coding needs (with no IDE integration, but worked well).

    I’ve deleted my OpenAI account today and moved there. It’s pretty impressive so far and it doesn’t even require you to sign in. I had almost forgotten that there are good and free services that don’t try to track you halfway across the internet in exchange.
