I think learning about history is great, because otherwise I might make the same mistake someone else already had.
It’s really weird to me that my parents are from WV and learned about this in school, and they are largely anti-union. WV at large is mostly anti-union, but also pro-coal workers. Before the unions those jobs were absolutely horrible. I assume what they learned was mostly bullshit sadly.
In North Carolina, it has fired several visible union supporters, including CAUSE president Rev Ryan Brown.
What the fuck? Is that not very illegal?
The union newsletters, now available in French, Spanish, and Arabic in addition to English, reflect efforts to build a coalition across language barriers.
