A U.S. intelligence report from the final days of the Biden administration claimed that Israel is considering attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities before the end of this year, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

According to sources familiar with the document, Israel hopes to take advantage of Iran’s relative weakness and may pressure the Trump administration to back an attack.

The sources also said that the report claims that Israel is worried that the window of opportunity to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons is narrowing.

    if the news knows then Iran has known long enough for contingencies to be in place.

    … fuck it, I’ll say it. Iran could easily put nuclear material in missiles … remember all those missiles making a mockery of the iron dome last year?.. and just dirty bomb the fuck out of Tel Aviv. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the entire reason for the attack, to test how many can get through.

      The last attack from iran was definitely just a test/statement. If the surrounding countries or even just iran wanted to wipe israel of the map then they could and would. Luckily Israel is the most bloodthirsty entity in the area and everyone else mostly just wants to stay out of trouble as much as possible without looking weak.

      While what you say is likely, if Iran was to do that, Israel would turn Tehran into a giant night light.

      Escalating to nuclear weapons in any form would be madness for either side.
