As i understand it, people are disappointed that they bought a strategy game and now the developers have supposedly removed most of the strategy so that the game is more like a visual novel. I haven’t played it, so idk, but i haven’t seen anyone complaining that the game itself is bad, apart from the fact that it’s allegedly not a strategy game anymore.
Recent reviews are very negative. People complain the devs gutted the game to make it f2p

FWIW one of the reviews says if you enable the beta update that it reverts to the original game with strategy elements, before the visual novel update
