What’s everyone aiming for on the crafted weapons? I’ve got a few below.
Dead Man’s Tale:
- I really liked my Vorpal Weapon roll so I might do that. Moving target was good for PVP.
- Interested to see what other people go for here.
Dead Messenger:
- Can now craft with Demolitionist which I think is the obvious choice but Unrelenting might be good too.
- Thresh is not a good perk. IMO this should have been something else.
Kept Confidence (Strand 140 HC):
- This gun feels amazing to use. It’s very similar to Rose.
- Not seeing a lot of PvE potential with this one. Maybe Loose Change/Collective Action?
- PVP combo is obviously Killing Wind/Eye of the Storm.
- I think the problem this gun has is that there’s SO many 140s and it’s stats aren’t great.
Locus Locutus (Stasis Adaptive Sniper):
- If snipers ever get good at DPS again this one has some utility. Ensemble/Firing Line, Overflow/FL, Discord/Kill Clip, Discord/Headstone.
- For PVP you have Keep Away/Opening Shot as the obvious go to. There might be a play for Steady Hands or Surplus in the first column and Box Breathing in the second.
- Sniper are extremely based on feel though. I haven’t used this one yet and it’s going to be hard to get me to not use Defiance of Yasmin or Beloved.
The Eremite (Solar High Impact Fusion):
- This thing is going to be a workhorse. Heal Clip has a lot of play in both PVE and PVP and can be combined with any number of perks in the second column. Reservoir Burst, Cornered, Controlled Burst, Elemental Capacitor on solar for faster reloads into Heal Clip.
- You could also run Envious, Lead from Gold, or Compulsive Reloader in the first column.
Brya’s Love (Void 180 Scout):
- I think Pugalist is literally the only bad perk on this gun that has no obvious pair.
- I haven’t really decided what to craft for this one. Would love to hear what everyone thinks.
Eleatic Principle (Arc Rapid Fire Machine Gun):
- Bungie seems allergic to giving us anything but Rapid Fire Machine Guns.
- I think the only two craftable Adaptive MGs are Commemoration and Fixed Odds?
- TBH I’m not really interested in this gun. I don’t think it has a lot of good combos beyond Zen Moment/Target Lock.
- Would love someone to show me something else that works here.
Semiotician (Strand Rocket Launcher):
- Impulse Amplifier or Field Prep with Explosive light. Done.
- Rockets are kind of easy to sett up IMO.
- I want Bipod to be good but I don’t think it can compete. It’s not good enough for DPS and MGs are better at Ad clear. ****

Now that hand cannons have been buffed, don’t sleep on Round Robin from Neomuna. I have a crafted roll with subsistence and hatchling, and it puts in serious work in most activities.
I have a PVP fitted one w/ Keep Away KC. Gun feels great to shoot.
Can the hatchling proc substance?
I forgot to reply again: hatchling definitely procs subsistence. With enhanced subsistence, you get three shots back per kill.
I think so, but I probably need to test to be sure. Whatever the case, I don’t have to reload manually very much.

I for one love rapid fire MGs, and seeing as this is arc they had a perfect opportunity to give it field prep but forgot again after the plunder one doesn’t have it either.
FP is essential and the third column in this thing is absolutely atrocious just like Planck’s Stride.
Yeah I guess the real issue is that we keep getting forgettable rapid fires. Retrofit Escapade is the only one I use regularly.
Also, I just looked and Commemoration is the only craftable Adaptive. Fixed Odds is high impact.
I haven’t even messed with any of the craftable stuff yet. I’ve been having a blast with exotic Hand Cannons.
How are those stacking up after the buffs to HCs? I only used two legendary HCs and couldn’t really tell a difference.
They seem really strong and very fun.
