To date, it hasn’t been the president’s fault. The shit they do makes it’s way to workers and consumers well after they leave office, for the most part. This would be different, and in some cases very uneven - if there’s an accross-the-board 25% tariff with Canada, the Detroit auto industry basically shuts down and lays everyone off today.
It’s also an integrated EU economy, so I’d assume the entire European single market would retaliate.
But yeah, he doesn’t care about or understand that. Or at least won’t until there’s active unrest in America over the crazy inflation and layoffs.

Yes, to add you cannot impose targeted tariffs on Danish goods, as these are typically traded within the EU before going to the US.
