    The fallout from Woods’ errors will cost the state millions as DNA samples must be re-tested and criminal convictions that relied on the now-questionable evidence must be reviewed. Nearly all of the incarcerated people affected are expected to challenge their convictions and an untold number could go back to trial

    Lots of incriminating quotes in the article from the investigation quoting Woods. She needed to learn to shut the fuck up.

      I mean, no? She was a core reason over 1000 people were convicted, likely wrongly.

      If you fucking brutalize a 1000+ lives, you should talk openly and freely about it nonstop.

        That’s fair. As someone related to the science field, I am skeptical of police (anything, but especially their) ability to investigate things like this.

        I have had Excel delete information from datasheets and have received data where cells were changed to dates because someone opened up the file in Excel. It seems like that was a sticking point in the article.

        Unsurprisingly, she did half this shit to process samples faster which speaks to the systemic problem of underfunded and overworked scientists.
