100% agree. Especially about Glenora Distillery. It was good to see them victorious against the Scottish whiskey association.

Exactly, I can only save them so long before they need to be sampled. It was a bit of a let down when I found out it was a numbered bottle, but hey it was worth it.

My wife actually bought the last bottle of rum they had, which if I recall was 15yrs. It was fantastic as well, after it sitting on a shelf for 9 or 10 yrs.

My all-time favorite though was when I hand bottled my own 19yr from a single cask at the distillery, that was the best I’ve had from Glenora.

Ok… I wasn’t gonna brag but you are making me jealous.

I have bottle 339 of the first run. It is in a little wooden box signed by the distiller. Apparently the first batch was given out to certain people of Canadian note/locals. My “Uncle” (mom’s cousin’s husband) was given one from I think the Rankin Family who recieved a few, and Gretzky got #99. My dad’s and I were at the distillery when we saw their remaining bottles for sale, a random smattering of numbers. We asked the price.

“It’s different for each number” … “What’s the cheapest one?”

              Mom wasn’t very impressed…

I wanna open that one so bad.

My other half did the hand bottling as well. Many years ago. That one got drunk lol.
