    Had to fly the kids back to the US to visit their grandfather one last time and we made damn sure the flights did not go through the southern hubs.

    OTOH my mother acknowledged our son who used to be their granddaughter…so goddamn if that wasn’t heartwarming.

      I’m really happy that it’s working out this way for them. My grandfather never got to meet me as myself.
