Ane here it is, the most controversial change in Godot 4.4 . There’s been a lot of opinions flying around on UID files around the github, but it seems they’re finally going through with it.
Interesting. I’m not a big fan of having extra files like this, but it may be the best compromise.
I will probably adjust to have a resources folder within res:// to store anything that would have a .uid next to it.
