I mean…if the country is considering a tool to promote damage and hate, why would you van yourself from using it? It won’t magically vanish tomorrow so it only makes sense to leave a literal loophole for the government to be legally allowed to use it to continue to monitor the CCP in all forms instead of doing it illegally.
