That’s sorta how comics work, different people get to take a swing.
Also we’ve had 6 (EON) James Bonds, do you feel the same way about that character?
We’ve had 4 Supermen, the original Christopher Reeve, a short lived revival with Brandon Routh, the most recent Henry Cavill and now our forth iteration. Sure maybe this new one is coming a little too fast but it also looks quite different.
Doubt, but there’s kids growing up who haven’t experienced it yet I suppose.
Would be nice for the rest of us if the studio execs took a risk on something different every once in a while. Especially regarding the super hero genre…yeesh.
In terms of taking a risk the next film up is Supergirl. We haven’t had her in live action since the mid 80s. Following that is Clayface who has yet to appear in live action.
Obviously we’ve done a few Superman films, but it looks like plenty of new characters after that. (And obviously we’ll still get the big hits like Batman eventually, but plenty of new options as well.)
Do people actually enjoying watching the same IP get rehashed over and over again?

Fair point, but how many of those Bond films were origin stories?
I thought I heard that this Superman movie was going to skip the origin? I might be confused with something else though…
Correct, this film will skip the origin.

Fair, I’ll try not to be a curmudgeon
