An independent study by researchers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) suggests the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza underreported the death toll due to violence by approximately 41%.

By June 19, 2024, 37 396 people had been killed in the Gaza Strip
it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186 000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza.
Unfortunately, it will likely only ever be an estimate. People buried under rubble deep enough will stay buried.
Not “due to violence”. Due to being murdered, ethnically cleansed by the Israel.
It’s so much worse. This is just due to direct violence, but there has been more than 120,000 when including death from disease and malnutrition (see https://truthout.org/articles/us-health-workers-back-from-gaza-estimate-death-toll-is-at-least-119000/). It’s infuriating and gut wrenching. 😖
