Look, there’s president Musk and the first bro.
I can’t help feeling that the real bad news is not that online platforms have been ruined, but that people have been and remain dependent on them.
Yeah, it’s why a load of people don’t know what bookmarks are for.
They don’t need to store 50 different shipping sites, it’s all on Amazon. They don’t need a gaming forum for every game, it’s all on Discord. All those blogs and RSS feeds are now Facebook and Twitter.
It was never meant to be this centralised.
Yet it is so surprisingly easy to not use any of them.
Just like it’s easy to quit smoking — for a day or two. Much worse is the fact that so many traditional institutions have been supplanted by online ones. Try getting a job for example.

Enshitification? … at this point it’s all dissolving into that putrid liquid dumpster juice.
And in a diaper

“So, again, there’s no air. That’s why.”
“So no gas stations. No hotels.”
“Right.”
“But you said people are up there.”
…
“I’m gonna be in a selfie!”

“I’m here to claw back value for the owner class”
It’s been there for a long time but ok, sure!
