Twelve galaxies down, 244 more to go. I just realized that it would make more sense if I’d not repair everything every single time…

Before jumping to a new Galaxy, Pack the modules and place them on the inventory, switch the multi-tool to a crapy C-class one and use a ship with no mudules installed.

Once you jumped, re-install everything, with very little left to repair.

On the same journey. Stopped reinstalling my exosuit modules back around galaxy 25.

My “galaxy hopper” is my trusty old Radiant Pillar with everything uninstalled that I can get away with. My multi tool is whatever the last looted one I was going to scrap next anyways.

Yeah, it’s beneficial to uninstall your technology before jumping through the core. Having spare multitools & ships also helps :)

FYI your entry point into the next galaxy is derived from your last black hole jump.

So, find a black hole within the inner 1000LY ring/sector of the galaxy and jump through it, then jump to the centre. You’ll arrive in the new galaxy at more or less the same distance from the centre as you exited the black hole.

For bonus points, plonk a base down or visit a space station so you can use the transporter to jump back to any galaxy you’ve visited.

Making the same journey! Just about two jumps away from the center of Galaxy 34 (hex 21, thanks to glyphs, I started using hex to label my respective portal bases).

As others have said, uninstall your tech modules before jumping. I’ve stopped reinstalling when skipping through galaxies, although the absence of shields and environmental modules is noticeable, it’s mitigated by just summoning my freighter and an exocraft as soon as I “initialize” in a new galaxy.

I’ll then usually use my exocraft radar to find a monolith, use the monolith to find a portal, build a mini-base next to the portal, then teleport to 0000:0000:0000, make a few jumps, switch out my ship and multi tool, then onto the next galaxy.

Throw in some deviations for exploring and investigation, and I can clear a galaxy in probably ten minutes. Of course it never takes just ten minutes, there’s always distractions. Need to share some glyphs…
