Haven’t been playing genshin since 4.0 (fontaine). How is it nowadays? I’ve seen there is a tool where I can make a desired artifact with certain stats? How expensive is this?
They’ve done a lot of quality of life additions recently (with so many characters it’s nice to get a bit of help building them) but they lost the music guy and they must have lost a character designer as well because a lot of the Natlan designs and some of the Fontaine designs are bad.
The “make a relic” is more expensive than in other Hoyo games but you also get a couple of sub-stats.
Ohh that’s too bad, since the music is like top tier in Genshin.
Fontaine story was great in my opinion. It’s (still) my favorite region so far. The intermission quest after Fontaine is great btw. Probably my favorite intermission quest too. For Natlan, I haven’t completed it yet. I find it a bit confusing and lost track of what’s going on.
Like what @[email protected] said, there’s a lot of QoL stuff and they continue to add more. Still no artifact loadout but you can see what other people are building in-game and a tool to automatically equip recommended artifacts (I don’t recommend it though).
For the tool to make artifacts with your desired stats, it consumes a type of resource that’s only obtainable through certain missions in Natlan (I think), but mainly by discarding other artifacts. It needs a lot of artifacts though, and you can only craft the resource once every patch (I think, I’ve used it once and haven’t touched it again).
I’m still annoyed by time-gated events though. I missed out on the summer event and I didn’t complete the Sumeru one. Sometimes I feel like the limited-time events are better than the actual game lol.
Anyway, I think it’s still pretty enjoyable.
Oh I haven’t even finished the Fontaine event, but the court event was a pretty unique one, which is a thumbs-up for me. Still my love goes for Mondstadt.
And what do you mean in terms of patch? Does it mean every minor version upgrade, like 5.1 -> 5.2, or any patch that fixes some bugs for the game? It’s the former, right?
Yeah, the Summer Archipelago is such a FOMO event, but this technique is one of the main reasons Genshin has such a huge user statistics still.
Yup, every minor version upgrade from what I understand. It’s called the Artifact Transmuter.
I feel like there are fewer players. Like fewer requests to enter world. But I don’t know for sure. Lots of stuff I really, really liked in Fontaine. Less so in Natlan.
Exploration, archon story quests, and music have gotten better, while character design for natlan characters has gotten much worse (Fontaine character design was fine imo). Here’s some of the new music so you can decide if you like it or not: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TyCB25oXUA4.
There is a tool to make an artifact with your desired set, artifact type, main stat, and a few substats. However, it is timegated. You can only make about one sands/goblet/circlet per patch. If you choose to make flowers/feathers instead, you can make around 3 of those per patch.
It seems then nothing significant have happened in terms of the artifact grinding then. This artifact making tool doesn’t help that much due to it’s immense time gatedness.
