I’ve been with teamsters before. My experience was like… Idk, it’s like if tankies ran a union. We know what you need, you don’t know what you need, shut up, pay your dues, fall in line, etc. but by God they got results. I’ve seen other unions that wandered in and continuously tried to make nice with the company and tried to explain the company line to us and tried to be reasonable and all that; it always took like a year of arduous negotiation to get pretty middling results. Teamsters don’t play that shit. If you don’t mind not being listened to in exchange for getting real pay raises, they’re the way to go.
