This is no longer Rampage, baby.

During the December 22nd AEW Dynamite tapings, Tony Khan confirmed that AEW would be taping the last episode of AEW Rampage “for the foreseeable future.”

The episode will air on December 27th.

I honestly preferred Dark/Elevation to Rampage.

Same. I always gave Rampage a lot more benefit of the doubt than some people do (there was a good fair chunk of time where the nonstop sentiment was “Nothing good ever happens on Rampage who cares?!” while 1 out of every 4 episodes was shit and the other 3 were great but no one cared to watch lol).

Dark and Elevation however…I mean they win just by pure numbers. You can fit a lot more matches for a lot more people into a longer ‘show’ than just filming an extra hour after Dynamite and having it on Youtube made it easier and more convenient.

Hopefully TK’s acknowledgement the other day about Dark/Elevation and how much people want em back is a sign that its being worked on.

The same camp that would claim nothing good happens on Rampage would also complain about having to watch Rampage when a big match was announced. “Why isn’t this on Dynamite?”

“I don’t watch Rampage, nothing worthwhile ever happens on it, Tony needs to fix this!”

“WAIT WHY IS TONI STORM’S BIG COME BACK MATCH ON RAMPAGE AND NOT THE A SHOW!?!?!?!11!eleven”

Like my brothers of the squared circle Tony is trying to make the goddamned show worth watching like you all asked, shut the fuck up lmao

It felt like an afterthought show even before Collision became a thing, it was basically their Sunday Night Heat in that it did advance some stories but was mostly a can miss show for anything top of card.
