The original contains lots of blank space. Yes, it’s realistic for a computer console to have a dense character grid but it couldn’t fit readably on my 240p feature phone. So I took the website version and modified the CSS to fit into 480p without antialiasing, then scaled it to 50%. (Yes, it would have been better to natively render it at 240p but I couldn’t figure out how to turn off subpixel AA that wouldn’t work on the phone screen (VBGR in landscape) - yes, I should have just turned everything B/W and added the amber tint in post but I hadn’t known about ffmpeg back then.)
