    To be fair, they are heavily subsidized with our oil income. The irony is not lost on us, but I guess it’s not the worst way to spend that windfall.

    For me its funny that people cry about poor range in cold weather but a perennially cold country like Norway has people flocking to EVs without fear

      Yeah I’d argue it’s better than petrol/diesel for us. Electric motors respond so much faster on inputs from safety systems on slippery winter roads, heating is not dependant on the engine being warm and electricity is cheap here.

      The price jump to 4WD is also menial in comparison to ICE as you just need one rear motor and a simple diff, no driveshaft or complicated gearbox/clutch setup.
