Gouach Infinite Battery Is a Safer, Sustainable & Repairable Universal eBike Power Source
They left out the most important part: it’s not even available.
I love the idea, but bike manufacturers are going with integrated batteries, and unless they partner with many companies who have no plans to move away from external/removable battery packs, then i can’t see this having a bright future.
They need to licence this out to e-bike converts companies ASAP, because that will at least give them a mutual benefit… Before analog bikes disappear.
Not in the literal sense, at least not right now. But demand for regular bikes is dropping in developed countries, while e-bike demand has exploded (no pun intended!). Manufacturers will follow the money.
Developing countries will still rely on regular bikes, but I don’t think that’s the market for these battery packs or e-bike conversion kits. I could be wrong about that, though.
I wish all e-bikes came with a battery like that. We need the most sustainable future possible, either because we were forced into it or because we choose that path, but it needs to happen. Repairable, long-lasting e-bikes are a path forward, and I think governments should incentivize manufacturers to include this tech in their products.
My 90s MTB is still my “SUV”, and I’ll always have a sweet spot for these older bikes, because of their repairability and long-term durability. But I can’t see the majority of riders using regular bikes 20 years from now.

IDK that analog bikes will ever disappear, I have an ebike, boards, and a car, but my preferred method of travel is a simple 3x7 hardtail MTB
