But it’s classic bully behaviour to tell people lower on the hierarchy “look what you made me do”. You want things to be less divided then you should start by accepting the simple facts.

Virtually everyone votes out of self interest. Trying to convince people to vote out of altruism while they perceive they will be losing out isn’t going to work.
If someone “perceives they are losing out” because of doing something positive for women or minorities then that says a lot about their worldview, they are the ones responsible for polarisation there.
