Yes, it’s a proper (though cheap) mini cube. I added proper dice dots to it for the hell of it. Fully solved, it’s a proper die. Also, the red/white/blue pattern here is a proper and easily solvable die-cube. The opposite sides are autumn colors yellow/orange/green.

I also discovered a Christmas color theme proper die-cube.

I’ve found it very fun and interesting to play with, as obviously it’s now a dual puzzle.

Thoughts?

Edit: Another post from I Made This, showing the autumn colors corner from the fully solved cube…

There is a museum in Los Angeles I absolutely love. A very surreal place called the Museum of Jurassic Technology. Unfortunately only open now by advanced appointment, but it’s worth making.

One of the exhibits is by the late Ricky Jay- magician, actor and dice collector. It’s an exhibit of his dice that have decayed in one way or another.

Neat! Mine is already starting to show wear and tear, but what do you expect from something that apparently came from a dollar store?

I dunno, but I’ve found my modded cube to be really interesting, and I should probably render a flat rollout showing exactly where all the dots are on all sides.

It’s been throwing me back and forth between solving for the colors vs solving for the dots…

Edit: I might wanna pick up a decent speed cube one day to mod the same way.
