It’s long term shrinkflation, just like you expected.

Charmin at Costco seems like it’s the same size toilet paper historically was, but it’s sort of too wide for the new roll holders when we moved.

      They’re not perfect.

We have a Cadillac model with heated water, drying fan, adjustable for both men and women, heated seat, sittable lid (strangely, not standard), and a nightlight. And TP is still needed. Less, for sure, but it’s still needed.

They give us less, so we use even less. Seems like winning to me.

Also diet probably helps. Pancake shits obvious are messy. Focus on the fiber and nuts and stuff, make ur turns rock hard and you only need to dry.

The gold standard is not to strain. The textbook standard of proper formation of stool is that of soft serve ice cream.

Ever since I had a painful hemorrhoid I’ve been eating a ton more fruit and vegetables, but only recently by taking a couple metamucil supplements a day have I achieved the soft serve ice cream bm, and man is it ever weird!

my ‘new’ but technically much older house has significantly higher water pressure which led to me putting a regulator before the butt sprayer because turning it down at the main intake makes some other things too weak and piss off the others living there. It’s set to be as high as it can before the mechanisms start acting weird but it has much better washing capabilities on the exact same model with the old house pressure
