Well I’ll give you this, you’re really covering your bases. I didn’t know there were this many gaming communities. Basically my entire front page is you posting this.

You should try and reach out to piratesoftware on twitch. He really enjoys these 2d platformers and it could be a huge boost to your sales. The game looks pretty sick btw.

FWIW, not all of us subscribe to every community/magazine out there and this is the first time I’m seeing this.

I bought it. it looks like fun.

EDIT: A second thread is right underneath this one, so, now I’ve seen it twice, haha!

You’ll have access to fewer equipment slots over all but otherwise it should play just fine! I actually started building this with just a snes controller for fun. Game controls can be fully remapped as well <33

      Edit: items to equipment slots

You should be able to rebind that or you can swap the weapon to a different inventory slot

Yeah it won’t allow duplicate bindings but you should be able to freely unbind and reassign

Currently no, but I can add an option for that no problem! It’s on the kanban <3

        Positives:

I’m loving the music so far, really awesome chiptunes, great vibes. I love the fast paced movement and combat, and responsive controls. I’m not sure how much patience I’ll have for the precision platforming, but it feels really well done.

        Suggestions:

-Default controls for the controller weren’t my favorite. It’s great that customizing them is super easy. I’d suggest these for the defaults: screenshot

-I noticed that the defaults for ‘scroll right’ and ‘scroll left’ weren’t working with the right stick. I don’t know if this could be because I changed the defaults, but setting up these two controls to the corrosponding d-pad buttons fixed it.

-Replace the Reddit link with a Lemmy one instead?

          More positives:

I also really enjoy the intro screen. It’s chill, and simple, but really well crafted. The subtle details like the syncronized blinking of the button combo indicator to start the game and the slight movement of the title text. I really appreciate that it takes you immediately into the game so quickly/easily too. It’s nice to just have the capability to jump right in and start exactly where you left off last time.

Really, I had to take a moment to write this comment just so I could listen to the intro song loop a few times. Really digging the tunes :)
