Nobody cared about or remembered the tragically hip. They really didn’t have fans anymore, just people who found a song or two catchy. In truth they were a mediocre band at best. So it was funny when the lead singer announced he was dying that suddenly every Canadian was the hip’s number 1 fan. Everyone loved them, loved the singer they couldn’t even name a year ago. So the final tour certainly worked for them. Now we’re back to not a single person listening to their crappy music or talking about the guy, until some meaningless news like this hits
