Wow. Did NYPD ever discipline the officers involved?

I ask knowing the answer is probably no and they blamed the victim.

You’ll know whenever a cop is disciplined. It’ll be major news and their “union” will be screaming about it. Generally it doesn’t happen unless the cop manages to hurt someone powerful. Internal discipline in the vast majority of US police department is reserved for those who harm the department by doing things like reporting crimes committed by officers.

Can’t tell if that was the head or the hand. But for sure there’s no need to handle someone so small with this much force.

    Idk.

Not having constant violence porn has been something I really like about lemmy. I don’t mind some titties or any other kind of non-violent NSFW, but I really don’t like watching people be hurt.

I think we need a more granular way to filter NSFW. Like is it porn, gore, violence, hate, dark humor…

“No, I don’t want to read post titles and use my logic skills, I want to scroll mindlessly clicking on everything and have other people do all the work for me.”

Theres this sicc ass trick called blocking. You can block communities, users and even posts! Even moreso, Lemmy is open-source. Crack open that IDE and write the functionality yourself if you want it.

I am actually with you kind of. Mastodon has a filter where you can block post with certain hashtags. Adding an optional metadata tag for NSFW post that users can selectively filter out would be a welcome feature in my eyes. I don’t want to see gore (and certain kinds of porn) in my feed at all in the first place. The people arguing with you are smug pricks who think suggesting an accessibility feature means your a brainless retard. Fuck em.

So instead of just using your EYES and FINGERS to avoid clicking on thing you don’t want to see, you want someone else to do all the work for you. Good god.

Yeah exactly. I don’t want gore in my feed, but I’m fine with tiddies. I want a better tool.

Dude this video shows a kid being slammed into the back window of a van, and the glass breaks. There’s no gore. Wtf are you on about.

That third cop couldn’t slide out of the picture too quickly after seeing the kid’s head bust the glass.

At the very start isn’t that idiot winding up to break the glass on the cab?
