While Canada’s total domestic passenger numbers now hover at around pre-COVID levels, air travel to smaller communities and even medium-sized cities has withered.
As I understand things, Amtrak has to yield right of way to freight trains. They would need to improve on that situation for a real national passenger rail line to be viable.
Lol americans need nationalized railways. They think they can get away with just private airlines. Look what happened.
