PSA: Making your own yogurt is real easy. Literally pour milk in a pan, boil it, let it cool down. When the temperature is low enough for you to keep your finger in the milk for 10 seconds, just put in three spoonfuls of whatever your favorite yogurt is. Put that pot inside your oven, with the pilot light on. And check back in 6 to 10 hours. The longer you leave it the the Tangier it gets. And that’s it.

You can now make yogurt. A simple upgrade is to get a cooking thermometer so you don’t have to use your finger. You’re looking for the milk to be around 42c when you put in the yogurt “seed”.

or you could take a spoon, scoop a small amount, and taste-test it if it has cooled down. no finger required.

Yup, I’ve been eating more yogurt lately as a good protein source. But sometimes I’ll try a different brand and it’s just laden with sugar.

It really is crazy how much unnecessary sugar is added to things that are otherwise pretty healthy. Dried pineapple is one that sticks in my craw–for some weird reason 99% of what is sold is sooo heavily sweetened that it makes my teeth hurt. I randomly came across unsweetened dried pineapple at Costco once, and it was literally one of the tastiest things I’ve eaten! (so of course I’ve only seen it there once time since) Pineapple itself is sugary as heck already, why does it need more added sugar???

Didn’t read because of the paywall, but I did get far enough to catch this:

Between chocolate-covered pretzels and their yogurt-dipped kin, the latter wins every time.

After such a blatant lie, don’t think I can trust the rest of the article anyway.

Eating ice cream for breakfast is better for you than eating yogurt
