The oceans are a vital regulator for the climate and our weather but are rapidly heating up.

Some crazy records being broken this year. There is also statistically outlying Antarctica ice melt but I haven’t seen that story anywhere since first seeing it.

One thing you can do is write to your MP or representative.
Here is a letter template to write to your MP if you are in the uk - you could also use the template in the US or elsewhere in the world : https://www.theclimatecoalition.org/write-to-your-mp

Many do, however the majority are complacent or don’t. Plus the mechanism of government grinds slowly. Consider donating time or money to local or regional non profit groups working on ocean conservation and restoration. DM me if you’d like help identifying legitimate ones

Absolutely couldn’t agree more. Live greener, contact your politicians and become active with your local Environmental groups. I think it would be great if you mention how to find people/groups here for everyone to see!

It does feel like that but I care in my small way, it’s all we can do is make small changes and contact our representatives. I’ve linked a template letter you can send to your representative or MP in my comment on this post.

It does seem to have ramped up in the last few months especially. On a local level we are really struggling to grow food (in our gardens) due to such bizarre weather and that is a tiny example of the effect.
