Or more accurately, Israel promises to engage in exactly the escalation with Lebanon that they’ve been trying for months now to provoke Hezbollah into justifying after an oh-so-very-convenient, seemingly tailored for outrage, attack that Hezbollah had zero reason to make and for which they immediately denied responsibilty.
Anybody who doesn’t see what’s going on here and who actually launched that attack hasn’t been paying honest attention.
I mean, you can criticize Israel for not appeasing Hezbollah enough, but even international analysts are pretty unanimous that this was an attack by Hezbollah. Of course they’re going to deny killing Arabs. They thought they were killing Jewish children. Their entire goal is to provoke Arabic-Jewish violence, which is a completely consistent reason for the intended attack.

Its not Palestinian. It’s Syria.
I heard people saying this part of the Golan Heights doesn’t even want to accept Israeli citizenship in many places. This may have been an IDF air defense station placed somewhere unsafe without caring about their lives, or even deliberate self provocation.
