Though the finding may seem intuitive, it contradicts the notion that European Jews mostly descend from people who left Israel and the Middle East around 2,000 years ago.     At some level I get that a post from 2013 isn’t news but it is also a topic about an ongoing conflict and to this day I have to bring up this article and others to people who insist that Ashkenazi Jews are indigenous and cousins to the Arabs.

    This is not a news community. So I would like to be able to post relevant articles even if they were from the 19th century.
