I think it deserves a little more respect than ‘one of those “fact-check” articles’.

Er, snopes.com has been debunking urban legends since the 90s (not only on the site but also newsgroups such as alt.folklore.urban). I think it deserves a little more respect than ‘one of those “fact-check” articles’.
