The issue here is that the power dynamic of somebody holding the presidency means it well-neigh impossible for others to run effectively against them in the primary.
Alas, I already knew he was out this run. Poor guy is ancient, he deserves the a break! But also, the DNC actually won’t let us have a real leftist in power. All the AOC heads better get ready for many years of dissapointment.
The underlying problem here isn’t the DNC; it’s that the progressive faction of the Democratic party is about 1/3 of the Democratic primary voters. That’s what keeps it from being able to choose a presidential candidate
