One of our hens, Greensleeves, is still sitting on a clutch of eggs and we saw two more chicks beginning to hatch this morning. We’re really hopeful for them to finish their hatch well and be up and about soon.
We had a resident family of ducks in the creek by my home this year and it brought me so much joy to see the little ones flitting after their mama.
It’s genuinely the highlight of my year every time, I’m so glad you got to have that experience too!

It’s so fun going out and spotting them, keeping count to make sure all the babies are okay. It’s just so neat.
