Before today I would have told you to steer clear of the Rustic soap base from Wet Shaving Products, because it’s pretty much garbage compared to, well, everything.
Today I cracked the code, though, and the lather was honestly pretty decent. I loaded heavy with a dry-side-of-damp brush to avoid things bubbling up too much. The initial lather was the consistency of marshmallow fluff™, and after adding a suitable amount of water, the lather was good.
The only thing (ok two things) that have kept this soap in my collection is 1) it was a gift from a dear friend, and 2) the scent is fucking amazing. It’s right up my alley.
Figured I’d use an aftershave from a notable vegan artisan, Southern Witchcrafts.
