Yup, I had a dozen or more of these a few years back – they’re quiet & cool, but slow as fuck, and NOT good in arrays. If you need an offsite backup drive, or a NAS with a mirrored setup, or a drive for all your “Linux ISOs” for viewing on your television or tablet, this works just fine.
That a SMR drive if memory serves. Depends on your use case.
For an archive drive that you dump stuff on occasionally as a backup, sure. For general purpose storage or a server, never.
