      Today I learned a color, that its etymology is tied to pigeons, and that it’s also used (in certain contexts) to mean ideal as well as a slang term for gay (possibly as a pejorative?)

        Kinda, but I was talking only about color. Also it’s not perjorative. Perjorative version is гей which is transliteration of gay.

        Also сизый is color too. And сизый голубь is common pigeon.
