Crazy left
This whole thing stinks of culture war boogie man bait…
There is no legit source for this story, aside from some conservative blogger(?) and a random Facebook post.
Nobody is going to say literally that they feel triggered. That’s an inflammatory term used to insult anybody on the opposite side of an argument…
Lame.

In conservative culture it helps push the “gays hate my country” narrative. Which to anybody with common sense is obviously not what it means, but it fuels that fire.
Why would gay people be uncomfortable with the American flag?

But being real, if you’re scared of the flag of the country you live in, and those who fly it, shouldnt you apply for asylum in a different country at that point?
If they didnt like the dance squad, why did they go see them?
There were multiple dance groups. Two were not permitted to perform. I find it odd they ban flag apperal at a country dance. Of all places you’d expect that
Two teams. It’s in the article.
It’s weird to have country dance group and not expect to see the American flag. The two go hand in hand
So you don’t believe women?
Yes I believe women but I don’t believe Jean.
Well one out of 25 ain’t bad then.
How do you arrive at that destination? Strawman, that’s how.
I’d bet $1000 that this is being misrepresented.
See if you can find a cite
Can you post a reputable story on this? Fox isn’t journalism, they’ve been very clear about that with their lawyers.
Fox is reputable. See rule 2
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
[…]
(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.
[…]
(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.
Flag code isn’t law. Also they didn’t use a flag for clothing. No flags were harmed in the making of their outfits.
Is it permissible to wear an item of clothing that looks like the United States flag? Answer: Unless an article of clothing is made from an actual United States flag, there is NO breach of flag etiquette whatsoever. People are simply expressing their patriotism and love of country by wearing an article of clothing that happens to be red, white, and blue with stars and stripes. There is nothing illegal about the wearing or use of these items
Doesn’t have to be law to be a disrespectful decision (it is law though). Conservatives love to show “respect” to the flag, which the flag code outlines how to do. If you then toss those guidelines to the side whenever it’s beneficial to your argument, you’re not really respecting the flag, legality aside.
The guidelines don’t apply because it’s not a real American flag. As I cited the legion says it’s not an issue.
Funny how lefties don’t even know what an American flag is.
Don’t believe every source Google gives you.
The definition of a flag, according to the flag code, is as follows:
The flag of the United States shall be thirteen horizontal stripes, alternate red and white; and the union of the flag shall be forty-eight stars, white in a blue field.
Who is wrong about the definition of a flag, the flag code or this site you found?
You think the American legion isn’t a reputable source?
The America legion.
The organization chartered by Congress for veterans
https://www.legion.org/documents/legion/pdf/legion_charter.pdf
I simply quoted the flag code, which was the basis of the point you were making that the clothing was not in violation of.
Also, flag code IS US Federal law, even though it is not mandatory. It was enacted by the 105th congress. So yeah that carries more weight.
You continue to show your ignorance of the points you argue against and I am so here for it.
I am not ignorant on the topic. I cited the experts on the topic and you look silly arguing with the group associated with the flag code. They are the group who created the flag code.
Yet you think you know more than the group who created it. Typical lefty response of thinking they know more than the people who wrote it.
I’m a patriot. These are nationalists. They are not the same thing.
How do you get that from them wearing flags and dancing ?
Assuming this article is even true, which is dubious, it’s a complete nothingburger, lol
It’s just more pathetic culture war bullshit because conservatives keep racking up Ls and have little to show the American people. It’s so much easier to screech about “wokes and immigrants are destroying this nation” than to actually attempt to fix the problems that matter, like climate change, the economy, and our aging infrastructure (of course, this is also due to he Republicans being bought and paid for by business interests that want to undermine fixing these issues).
Any time I see some nutjob republican make some big sweeping “anti-woke” legislation, I stop and ask myself: “How does this help the average American in ways that actually matter to them?” Usually, the answer is,“it doesn’t.”
Oh great, now we have both left-wing and right-wing versions of You Won’t Believe What Those People Did This Week. Is this a progress?
What a joke.
Why don’t the leave the US if it’s so offensive? No one’s forcing them to stay.
They’re so “inclusive” 🤦🏼♂️
I support free speech but if you are triggered by our flag, it’s best you leave.
