Sheldon Keefe has coached better, more talented teams in Toronto, but this might be his best coaching job with the Toronto Maple Leafs nevertheless.

Keefe and his staff have done more with less this season, and that’s the mark of good coaching. They’ve kept the Leafs moving in the right direction even as they endured one roadblock after another. That’s been especially true in the second half: The Leafs are 23-10-1 since Jan. 18, for a .691 points percentage that ranks fifth in the NHL.
