My wife and I have been taking care of this stray. We usually go outside and call for it and make some noises for him to come out to eat. A few nights back we go out for the same routine. We call and we hear him. Finally, we look up. About 10’ up is this.

Little guy finds some safety in that huge hole beneath him. He tucks right in. Until he poked his head out we had no idea.

    Too busy counting the dead cats on the ground at the base of the tree.

      I’ve had a cat die of starvation in a tree.

      I’ve also had a friend’s cat get killed by an arborist that offered to climb up and help them down.

      I’m thinking that if a cat can’t hit a landing then they should kind of have their cat card revoked. Survival of the fittest, you know?

        Yeah, that’s the way it works, but no-one wants to have their favourite kitty discarded for the betterment of the species.
