Total sales for Dragon’s Dogma II have surpassed 2.5 million units, Capcom announced. Cumulative sales for the Dragon’s Dogma series have surpassed 10 million units.
It seems like a lot of people in this thread are willfully missing a part of the point you’re trying to make. A lot of squabbling over mtx in the game being necessary or not, and being able to get by just fine without the mtx. When did we start being okay with $95CAD single player games having 15+ mtx packages on launch? Did we all forget about the $5 horse armor? Wtf people?
Say what you will about the gameplay itself, but a $95 single player game with mtx on launch is bullshit, and we, as a community, argue, squabble, and support this shit anyway, and then complain about the “enshittification” of our beloved games industry. The game is $95 already for Christ sake. This is easily over 10%-15% of any other AAA game on the market. You’re paying a premium because Capcom is greedy. Simple as that.
Grab a brain people, and stop giving your money to these greedy assholes. We have an EA because WE as a community allow it to exist. Our situation worsens because WE allow it. If other companies see this and follow suit, we have no one to blame but ourselves.
I didn’t buy DD2. I’d love to give it a spin, but I vote with my wallet, and I implore the rest of the gaming community to do the same.
